Kids Furniture Warehouse Delivery Policies
Kids Furniture Warehouse is proud to offer optional delivery services for all customers within our local trading area and most customers outside our local trading area. Please see below for delivery options and out-of-area delivery information.
"Local Delivery" or "Delivery & Assembly" is defined as a delivery service that is taking place by Kids Furniture Warehouse vehicles and performed by Kids Furniture Warehouse personnel within 30 miles of the nearest storefront location to you. Deliveries outside our 30-mile radius will incur a small surcharge (see Out of Area Deliveries). The Local Delivery or Delivery & Assembly rates shown on this website are for orders taking place within this radius. Orders being delivered outside of this area will incur a small Out-of-Area surcharge which is used to cover the additional fuel, toll(s) and driving time expenses. Customers will be immediately notified of this charge and the exact amount before the delivery is scheduled. If you do not agree to the additional Out-of-Area surcharge, you may choose to pick up the order at the nearest Kids Furniture Warehouse facility or cancel the order without penalty.
When you choose our Local Delivery option, our delivery personnel will place your ordered items in the room of your choice at time of delivery. For orders that include the assembly option, our drivers will unpack your items and assemble the items according to manufacturer specifications. All packaging will be placed at a location on premises of the customer's request. Due to transportation hazards, our drivers do not remove packaging from the delivery location.
We continuously strive to provide accurate estimates of delivery time-frames. In an effort to keep you informed, each item on our website includes an estimated "ships within" timeframe. These are typically accurate estimates of an item's availability as well as delivery timeframe for orders placed within our "Local Delivery" radius. Please allow an extra 3 to 5 business days if your order requires an out-of-area delivery.
OUT OF AREA DELIVERY
An "Out of Area" delivery is a delivery desitination considered to be near or exceed the boundaries of our serviceable area. Kids Furniture Warehouse offers delivery to most states within the continental United States. These out-of-area deliveries will be shipped via our standard Express Nationwide Delivery service (please see Store Policies for complete shipping details). Orders shipped via this method are done so as a Curbside Delivery and are delivered via LTL common carrier (trucking line). Orders being delivered via the freight delivery method will incur a small surcharge which is used to cover a portion of the additional shipping expense. Customers will be immediately notified of this charge and the exact amount before the order is shipped. If you do not agree to the additional shipping surcharge, you may choose to pick up the order at the nearest Kids Furniture Warehouse facility or cancel the order without penalty.
For Curbside Delivery orders, the common carrier drivers will bring your purchase to your delivery address. The driver will then take your purchase to the rear of the vehicle and you will be responsible for unloading and bringing the item(s) into your home. Due to the variety of sizes and weights of item(s), you may need a couple of people to help unload item(s). Alternatively, most truck freight companies offer additional services to help you move items from the truck into your house if it is not included in your shipping charges. You can work with the shipper directly to arrange for any additional delivery services that you would like to take advantage of. You will be responsible for directly paying the truck freight carrier for these additional services. Drivers are expected to notify you of a delivery time and day and your delivery service options, so you can have the appropriate help available to get purchases into your home if necessary.
All of our products are packaged with anticipation of some rough handling during shipping. Some wear on packaging is normal. However, accidents do happen; therefore, you MUST inspect your furniture when it is delivered. If, at the time of delivery you notice any damage, defect or deficiency, you MUST describe this on the Bill of Lading retained by the driver. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT. If you do not note damage at time of delivery, the items will be deemed to have been delivered in good condition and you will be responsible for the cost of any replacement parts plus shipping cost. DO NOT REFUSE THE SHIPMENT. If you do not properly report the damage, defect or deficiency at the time of delivery, we will not be able to assist with later claims. A re-delivery charge will be incurred. If the delivery personnel can correct the problem, it will be taken care of immediately. If not, the shipper will return the item for repair or replacement, at our discretion and then be redelivered to you. You will not be charged for this redelivery unless the merchandise was of normal production quality. Customer agrees to accept delivery appointment for any backorders, repairs or replacement furniture to complete the order process. Orders refused for delivery after 30 days will be subject to storage fees of a minimum of $50.00 charge per month or $10.00 per 100 lbs
